The ninth season of Suits will head to Netflix on July 1, the streamer announced Sunday. The final installment of last year’s viral phenomenon was previously only available on Peacock.
The news came as castmembers Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty, Dulé Hill, Amanda Schull, Abigail Spencer and former USA Network president Jeff Wachtel gathered Sunday for a reunion panel presented by Tudum at the Atx TV Festival in Austin, Texas.
Suits, which originally premiered on USA Network from 2011 to 2019, followed Mike Ross (Adams), a college dropout with a photographic memory who is hired at a New York law firm by Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). The show’s first eight seasons debuted on Netflix last year to great success — by the end of 2023, it was the most streamed show of the year.
Following the newfound success of the series, NBC ordered a pilot for spinoff show Suits: L.A. earlier this year.

Missed Monday’s late-night monologues? We’ve got you covered with our round-up of the night’s best laughs from across the dial.
So, Anything Happen Last Week?
Look, nobody could have predicted how quickly a duly selected New York jury would convict Donald Trump of all 34 counts in his felony trial for falsifying financial records to hide his serial adultery to sway an election. But c’mon, late-night hosts—taking the first week of jury deliberations off for vacation? Well, with only Jimmy Kimmel having had the foresight to schedule new shows last week (thus getting a head start on all the monologue schadenfreude), that just means that Messrs. Colbert Stewart, Meyers, and Fallon all had extra time to kick back, laugh themselves silly at the first-time-ever spectacle of a former United States President being convicted in a criminal court, and then get down to work writing all the...

In just a handful of days, Wheel of Fortune fans will be saying goodbye to host Pat Sajak. He’s retiring after 41 seasons, and fans have known this was coming since June 2023. His final episode’s airdate, June 7, was set in April. So how did his final week as host, the aptly titled “Thanks for the Memories,” kick off? It all began with a clip of Pat Sajak and Vanna White from 1997, in which the two joke about the audience thinking of them as a married couple; they’d been working together for 15 years at that point and finished each other’s sentences. “Looks like they’re cleaning out the video files,” Sajak quipped as he and White walked out for the June 3 game. Then he got right to the game. One of the players, Joyce, was in the audience for ...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the June 3 episode of Jeopardy!] It was a close game throughout most of the June 3 episode of Jeopardy!, though by the time Final Jeopardy came, it was a runaway for one of the players. Adriana Harmeyer, an archivist from West Lafayette, Indiana, returned with a three-day total of $71,600 to face off against Carol Ritchey, a retired letter carrier from Eastpointe, Michigan, and Matthew Kahn, an It docketing assistant from San Diego, California. And by the end of it, Harmeyer had added to her total and was a four-day winner. But it wasn’t easy. The three competitors seemed evenly matched, with their scores throughout the Jeopardy! round close; Carol did lead at the first break and at the end of the round, but there was only a $400 then $2700 difference between her and the third place scores. Then, in the Double Jeopardy! round, it was an incorrect answer on the last Daily Double of ...

France has never had trouble getting people to fall in love with its many pleasures: the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles, the Louvre, and the island majesty of Mont Saint-Michel. It sells itself, which is probably why it is such a sought-after backdrop for television series.

Some of us have confessed feelings for our best friend with the uneasy feeling that we were in hell. But when Edwin, one half of the titular “Dead Boy Detectives,” confesses to his best friend of 30 years that not only is he gay, but his feelings for Charles are more than just friendly, he’s standing on a staircase in literal Hell.
The internet had some thoughts on that timing.
“What’s fun has been the social media posts that are like, ‘Maybe you should wait until you get out of Hell to have the conversation,'” co-showrunner Steve Yockey told IndieWire. “And I wrote that episode, and I remember when we were breaking it, people in the room did bring up, like, maybe they should talk about this after they get up the stairs. But once they get up the stairs, [Edwin] might not have the courage to say it.

Nicole Kidman has taken on a series of tough roles, but to play a domestic violence survivor in HBO’s “Big Little Lies” brought a new level of stress.
The Oscar winner and recent AFI Life Achievement Award recipient told The Hollywood Reporter that while filming the beloved series, she realized there really wasn’t “the time to go, ‘I need to take care of myself'” on set, which led to her being so frustrated that she threw a rock through a locked door, breaking its window to get through.
Kidman was asked about the infamous on-set filming tidbit during the interview.
“Whoa, that’s right!” Kidman said. “I threw a rock because [the door] was locked, and I couldn’t get in. I’d never done that in my life. I obviously [had a lot] pent up. I broke the whole thing. It cost a fortune.”
She continued, “And then I went back the next day,...

If you’ve ever wondered what Jimmy Fallon does during commercial breaks on The Tonight Show, a new ad spot has an inventive take on what that might look like.
A promo for the latest collaboration between lifestyle brand Kith and golf equipment company TaylorMade sees Fallon taking his show—desk included—to Monterey, California’s Pebble Beach Golf Links.
The spot opens with Fallon behind a Tonight Show-esque desk, complete with a backdrop of New York City. After he tosses to break, a crew quickly removes the set, plus Fallon’s suit and tie, to reveal that he’s wearing his golf gear underneath. And that the show’s set is situated in the middle of the famed golf course.
Fallon shoots and scores an impressive hole-in-one, but barely has a moment to celebrate before it’s time to get back to the show. Fallon returns to host form,...

Pat Sajak feels “surprisingly okay” about leaving his long-standing position as host of Wheel of Fortune. Sajak, who has hosted the word quiz game show since 1982, will be retiring after the Season 41 finale on Friday, June 7. He opened up about how he feels about over 40 years of work coming to an end in a video shared with Good Morning America. “And it’s been a little bit wistful and all that, but I’m enjoying it and taking it all in and reflecting on the great run,” the game show host said. “Somewhere along the line, we became more than a popular show. We became part of the popular culture. And more importantly, we became part of people’s lives. And, that’s been awfully gratifying.” Speaking to his daughter Maggie Sajak, who has served as Wheel of Fortune’s social correspondent since 2021, Pat said, “This was announced a long time ago,...

Richard Goodall never stopped believing – and it paid off, tremendously. Fans and judges alike were blown away by the Golden Buzzer-awarded cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” by Goodall during America’s Got Talent Season 19 opener. His moment in the spotlight was a long time coming. He first tried out for AGT in 2009, but never made it past the open auditions in Chicago. This time around, things were very different. After his performance on AGT he received a standing ovation from the audience as well as all four judges. The crowd even began chanting Goodall’s name, yelling, “Richard” repeatedly until the judges gained control back over the room to make their official comments. While it was clear all four judges, Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, and Heidi Klum were blown away, it was Klum who hit the coveted Golden Buzzer, sending Goodall straight to the live shows...

Jodie Foster wanted more “Killers of the Flower Moon” — or at least, to see more “perspectives” showcased in the film’s retelling of the Osage Nation massacres.
The actress said during an interview with Variety that Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-nominated epic could have benefitted from being even longer, or perhaps reimagined as a limited series. Scorsese’s film already received criticisms for being too long at almost four hours; theaters began issuing an intermission during screenings, much to the dismay of editor Thelma Schoonmaker.
“I was thinking of ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ — extraordinary movie, three-and-a-half hours long. And I thought, ‘I wonder why they didn’t do it eight hours long,'” Foster said, “to be able to explore all these other people, and give them another perspective. The great thing about limited series is you can have that novelistic idea of going off into tangents and tying them together.

Godzilla Minus One is the first Japanese Godzilla film in almost a decade — and it was worth the wait. Upon its release in November 2023, Takashi Yamazaki’s film was a bona fide global phenomenon, quickly becoming the highest-grossing Godzilla film ever to emerge from the titanic kaiju’s home country. It went on to win the franchise’s first ever Academy Award, for Best Visual Effects. (Peep the VFX team’s adorable Godzilla merch in their infectious acceptance speech.)
To make things even more exciting, the movie is great, a rip-roaring science-fiction adventure that also features one of the most absorbing human-scale stories ever seen in a kaiju flick. Now you can catch up with it for yourself, streaming on Netflix.
Stream it now.

Even from the age of four, the co-creator and showrunner of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” remembers “watching people want things, observing their desires, observing their emotions, and wanting to construct that into characters into little books.” Reading, writing, and imagining scenes in her head became Sloane’s happy place, a way of connecting with and making sense of the world around her as a shy child.

Monday means Jon Stewart at The Daily Show—but this week just hits a little different. That’s because it’s the first time viewers will hear Stewart’s official reaction to Donald Trump being found guilty of a whopping 34 felony counts in his hush money trial.
When the Trump trial first kicked off in April, Stewart very publicly bemoaned the breathless media coverage being given to the former president’s every movement to and from the Lower Manhattan courthouse. “Are we gonna follow this guy to court every f**king day?,” he asked on the April 22 edition of The Daily Show. “Are you trying to make this O.J.? It’s not a chase, he’s commuting.”
Stewart’s point, of course, was that the only real breaking news we needed to hear was when something interesting actually happened. And something tells us that he’ll have at least...

How I Met Your Mother wrapped its run a decade ago, but its humor remains as crisp and timeless as one of Barney’s Italian suits. As the show returns to Netflix, we have a Slapsgiving gift for you: We caught up with executive producer and co-creator Craig Thomas to revisit his favorite episodes; reflect on the moments that best represent the sitcom; and update us on the Paul Shaffer–obsessed pride of Vancouver, Robin Sparkles.
What episode (aside from the pilot!) should viewers start with?
Ooh, fun thought exercise! Ok, if somebody were going to start How I Met Your Mother with an episode besides the pilot, another later Season 1 episode, “The Pineapple Incident,” is a solid entry point. It’s a fun mystery episode where the whole gang tries to figure out, piece by piece, in flashbacks, what the hell a very drunk Ted (Josh Radnor) got himself...
