The City of Brookhaven is actively seeking candidates for the following positions:

ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER

The city of Brookhaven is accepting resumes for Assistant City Manager. The Assistant helps in the day to day oversight and operation of all departments of the City as directed by the City Manager. Project management and detailed reports on the progress of assigned projects is a regular part of the functions of the position.  He/she will be responsible for leading several departments which will be based on their individual skill set as well as their experience.

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, city/regional planning, business administration or a closely related field required. Master’s Degree is preferred.  Must have ten years of progressively responsible municipal work experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position.

SYSTEM ENGINEER I

The city of Brookhaven is accepting resumes for a System Engineer I. This individual should possess knowledge of networking technologies and providing information technology support services to maintain the following: desktops, network servers, storage servers, firewalls, multiple internet connections, wireless networks, website, private cloud/hosted servers, public cloud services, specialized applications and databases, remote user access, help desk systems, office-to-office virtual private networks and associated software applications. He/she should have previous civic/city/government experience and experience with SunGard RMS/Mobile, police records management system.

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems or a closely related field required. Must have four years of progressively responsible experience with desktop, network and application support or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position.

Salary range: $60,000-$70,000 depending upon experience.
