The Digital Databases of Beit Hatfutsot

For the past three decades, Beit Hatfutsot has collected digital information in a rich array of categories, including: photography, genealogy, films, Jewish music, history of communities, the meaning of Jewish family names, personalities, and Jewish peoplehood terms. This information has been consolidated into the Digital Database System, a program that enables a comprehensive search of these Jewish resources.

A multi-faceted search may include research into: branches of a specific family tree, the meaning and origin of Jewish family names, information about a Jewish community in a specific town, village or city, other family trees associated with that community, or related films, photos or music.

Database searches are available to the general public either by sending a Search Order from this website, or by visiting the study area on the entrance floor.
