Gov. Chris Christie is all but certain to slash a provision that would guarantee the prevailing wage for maintenance workers in projects that receive state incentives. The Assembly is expected to concur with the governor’s changes, which are expected soon, on Monday. But The Auditor has learned that language was inserted at the request of SEIU’s Local 32BJ, which represents building maintenance workers.
