The Senate was not in session on Friday, March 30, 2012; however, after the Senate adjourned on Thursday, March 29th, the House adopted S. Con. Res. 38 (Adjournment Resolution).  Therefore, the Senate will not convene for Pro Forma sessions as previously mentioned.

The Senate will stand in adjournment until 2:00 PM on Monday, April 16, 2012, and will resume consideration of the Motion to Proceed to S. 2230 (Reduce the deficit by imposing a minimum effective tax rate for high-income taxpayers).  At 4:30 PM, the Senate will proceed to an Executive Session to consider Cal. #460 (Stephanie Thacker to be US Circuit Judge for the Fourth Circuit).  At approximately 5:30 PM, the Senate will proceed to vote on the Thacker nomination.  Upon disposition of the vote, the Senate will then proceed to a Legislative Session and proceed to vote on the Motion to Invoke Cloture on the Motion to Proceed to S. 2230 (To reduce the deficit by imposing a minimum effective tax rate for high-income taxpayers). 

THURSDAY, MARCH 29, 2012

The Senate will convene at 9:30 AM and will immediately resume consideration of the Motion to Proceed to S. 2230 (Reduce the deficit by imposing a minimum effective tax rate for high-income taxpayers).  At 11:30 AM, the Senate will vote on the Motion to Invoke Cloture on S. 2204 (Repeal Big Oil Tax Subsidies Act).
