Dear Friends,
Our European appearances over the past few years have helped us appreciate even more the magical combination of beautiful music in a beautiful space. But they have also helped us widen our repertoire—and our circle of friends! Our 2008-09 season reflects these things in many ways. We'll continue to offer concerts in the breathtaking Basilica of Saint Mary and the intimate Saint Paul Seminary chapel, but we've also expanded our performance venues to include such gems as First Colonial Church in Edina, Wayzata Community Church and our first-ever appearance at the glorious Saint Paul Cathedral. As usual, we'll feature a huge array of vocal music, with everything from Latin motets and Coptic chant to Shaker hymns and Jewish para-liturgical songs. And we're thrilled to welcome to our stage two world-class groups from Europe: Ensemble Diabolus in Musica (France) and Voces8 (United Kingdom). I’ll look forward to seeing you throughout the year!
