Climate change is a global challenge and requires a global solution. In late 2007, governments adopted the Bali Roadmap, launching negotiations toward a new global climate agreement. Through analysis and dialogue, the Pew Center on Global Climate Change is working with governments and stakeholders to identify practical and effective options for the post-2012 international climate framework.
COP 13 - Bali
At COP 13 in Bali, delegates from more than 180 countries agreed to launch negotiations with the ambitious goal of achieving a new global climate agreement in 2009. The Pew Center assesses the Bali outcome and potential next steps for international climate negotiations.

In Bangkok, at the first meeting of the Ad Hoc Working Group formed in Bali, governments agreed on a work program through COP 14 in Poznan, Poland (December 1-12, 2008), including workshops on adaptation, technology, finance, sectoral approaches, and other key issues.
