Shah Rukh Khan Moving Out Of Mannat For Renovation Causes 'Low Business' For Vendors: Log Taxi Ko Turn Kar Lete Hain...

Megastar Shah Rukh Khan is one of the much loved stars in the industry. Just like SRK, his family and even his posh bungalow, Mannat, hold equal importance to fans. Some even worship SRK's residence as a temple. And ever since Shah Rukh Khan moved out of his iconic sea-facing bungalow, for a two-year renovation, the vibe around Mumbai’s Bandstand has shifted dramatically, and not in a good way. The area, which was once buzzing with fans, paparazzi, and curious tourists hoping to catch a glimpse of Bollywood’s King Khan, now wears a noticeably quieter look. SRK’s relocation has also inadvertently triggered a dip in the local economy. The vendors who once benefited from the daily crowds now find themselves struggling to make ends meet, and videos of the vendors opening up about it are going viral on social media.

Shah Rukh Khan moving out of Mannat for renovation causes 'low business' for vendors

Mannat, a landmark and arguably one of the most photographed spots in Mumbai, has lost much of its magnetic pull. Videos circulating on social media capture the sentiment of vendors who worked just outside the mansion’s gates, expressing how business has slowed down since fans stopped showing up.
As reported by Indian Express, one of the clips features an ice-cream vendor candidly stating, “Bahut farak pada hai. Ab Shah Rukh rehte bhi nahi hai aur yeh public ko pata chala gaya hai toh public kum aa rahi hai.” There’s a huge difference. Earlier, people would come and stay for a while. But now that they’ve found out he doesn’t live here, fewer people are coming. And even those who do come, when they find out SRK doesn’t live here anymore, they often turn their autos and taxis around and leave.
His statement shows how SRK’s absence alone has caused footfall to plummet.
Another street vendor added, “Pehle, public aata tha aur rukta bhi tha… Ab jaise hi unko pata chala ke woh nahi rehte toh aana kum ho gaya hai.” He even noted that some tourists, upon learning that Shah Rukh no longer resides there, simply turn their cabs around and leave.
One vendor summarised the sentiment in a single emotional line: “Shah Rukh hai toh Mannat hai, nahi toh yeh kuch bhi nahi hai.”

SRK and family moved into luxury apartment

The Khan family - Shah Rukh, Gauri, and their kids Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam - has temporarily moved into a luxury apartment in Pali Hill, Bandra. Meanwhile, SRK is gearing up for his next big-screen appearance in King, which also marks a special collaboration with his daughter, Suhana Khan.
