DDSSY card renewal begins for 2025-26
Panaji: The public health department has started renewing Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana (DDSSY) cards, which provide health insurance coverage for those living in Goa for a minimum of five years, for the policy period April 2025–March 2026. The renewed card is mandatory to access empanelled hospitals starting April 1, 2025. The scheme offers cashless insurance for medical care, hospitalisation, and surgeries in govt and private hospitals.
Renewals can be done online and offline. An annual fee of Rs 200 is charged for families of up to three members and Rs 300 for four or more. OBC/ST/SC and differently abled persons get a 50% concession with valid documents. For member additions, deletions, and detail corrections, forms A/D/C are available at DDSSY Kendras or can be done online at www.goaonline.gov.in.
To date, 3.1 lakh cards have been issued, benefiting over 11 lakh people, with 1.1 lakh procedures conducted. The scheme provides insurance cover of up to Rs 2.5 lakh per annum for a family of three or fewer members and up to Rs 4 lakh per annum for a family of four or more members. Insurance benefits can be availed individually or collectively and include pre-existing conditions from day one.
The scheme covers treatment in 73 private and govt hospitals across Goa, Udupi, Bengaluru, Belgaum, Kolhapur, Mangaluru, Sangli, Mumbai, and Dharwad. Central/state govt employees with medical reimbursement are ineligible for DDSSY.
