Applications open for PhD courses in scientific institutions affiliated to CSIR, ICMR and DST
As part of AcSIR PhD programme, the course is being offered across many disciplines in STEM, in scientific institutes that are affiliated to CSIR, ICMR and DST across India

Hyderabad: The Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) is inviting applications from eligible candidates to pursue PhD in scientific institutes that are affiliated to CSIR, ICMR and DST across India for August 2025 batch.
The PhD (Sciences) course is being offered for faculty of biological sciences, chemical sciences, physical sciences, agricultural sciences and faculty of mathematical and information sciences. Other courses include PhD in medical research, PhD in engineering and MTech.
Select students will have an opportunity to enrol in the Joint Cotutelle (joint doctorate) PhD degree programme with leading international universities (fully funded), as part of AcSIR PhD programme. At present, AcSIR is the largest institution in India for doctoral research in STEM, having awarded 831 PhD degrees in 2024, the AcSIR notification said.
The last date to apply for PhD courses is April 14, and for IDDP (MTech plus MhD in Engineering) programme, it is May 31.
