Samay Raina Reveals Conversation With Father Amid Indo-Pak Tensions In Jammu: His Voice Urges Me To Not Worry

India foiled Pakistan’s attempt to attack military installations on Thursday. Sensitive zones, like Jammu, Udhampur, Kishtwar, Akhnoor, Samba, Srinagar, Anantnag, Barmer, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Chandigarh, Mohali, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Bhuj and Kutch faced long blackout periods due to safety concerns.

Samay Raina, who has his parents living in Jammu, shared an update on their well-being on Instagram Story. The comedian recalled his conversation with his father.

Samay wrote on Instagram Story, “My father calls me one last time tonight from Jammu to say goodnight. His voice, steady and calm, urges me to sleep and not worry—the Indian armed forces have everything under control. His calmness quiets my restless thoughts. I switch off the lights in my Mumbai home and walk to the window to draw the curtains.”

He added, “Outside my window, my neighbor’s lights still glow. I know little about him, that’s just how it is here. I wonder if he, too, has family in Jammu, perhaps in Pathankot or if he might be the son of a brave soldier, who won’t sleep tonight, waiting for a morning call from his father on the front lines. My utmost respect to the armed forces and their families for all the sacrifices they make for our safety. Goodnight. Jai Hind.”

According to the defence ministry, the Indian Armed Forces targeted air defence radars and systems at a number of locations in Pakistan while ‘neutralising’ an air defence system in Lahore. The attack intensified after India launched Operation Sindoor, a mission that targetted nine terror launch pads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the Pahalgam Terrorist Attack on April 22.
