I wondered why this was so bad, formulaic crap. Then I saw the Bruckheimer name in the end credits...that explains it all.
British lead playing with a bad southern accent...again. Predictable characters and storyline. Wow. It's bad.

I only gave it two stars because of credible actors Jack Huston & Emilia Clarke, although even they could do nothing to improve this badly told story.
The story telling was awful, editing a mess, transitioning through the timeline was rushed.
A real life true story but it does nobody any favours with a terrible screen adaptation.
I wonder if the Director watched this after the final edit.
Consinded to my 'never watch again' list of films.
I am sorry I wasted the time watching this boring movie. Although it's based on a true story, it's just hard to believe people would act this way, and it's uncomfortable to watch. There is almost no suspense, I just wanted it to end already. You don't empathize with the characters because they are so ridiculous and I just didn't really care about any of them, they all had it coming due to their terrible attitudes and behaviors. If this movie is a statement against drugs, well I guess it accomplishes the goal, and that's all it accomplishes. 2 stars, second star is because it's based on a true story.
Emilia is the only good thing about this movie. Very talented young lady. It could have been so much better.

The fact that this was based on true events makes it worse. This lady Susan kept saying gimmicky things like "don't call me Susie." Which has nothing to do with character plot development whatsoever. It was a useless pointless movie trying to make dumb hick controversy into a deep emotionally impactful drama. The main characters were all very stupid. And the main characters were always saying and doing dumb things. I am not an FBI agent, and even I knew an FBI agent sleeping with informants is a big no no. FBI agent in the movie did it anyway. She had all the money and opportunity given to leave town. Shid. She could have just hoarded and sold drugs herself and left town. And to find out at the end that this was based on true events is what made it worse. To find out that actual people did this in real life. Simpletons of the 90s era doing stupid, Jerry Springer **** and somehow was made into a one hour and 40 minute film. I'd rather watch the movie about Jerry Springer himself. This was dumb. It was a movie just to get. Emille Clark naked again, like she had been in Game of Thrones. That's all they wanna do is see her naked. No judgment. Get your money. Get the bag, sis. Please don't do stupid *** movies like this unless it is meant to be funny. Ironically. This was funny in how bad these people were making decisions. And all the men were treated like **** because of this woman's actions. Not sure if that happened in real life, but, care, I don't.
