Vrouviana (Βρουβιανά) Aitoloakarnania
Vrouviana is a village in the municipal unit of Inachos, in the municipality of Amfilochia, in the Regional Unit of Aitoloakarnania, at an altitude of 500 meters[2].
Geographical - historical information
Vrouviana is located on the northeastern border with the Regional Unit of Evrytania and west of the Acheloos River. The most important attraction is the stone bridge of Templa, southeast of the village, which connects the mountainous Valtos with the villages of Western Evrytania. It was built in 1909 by the Epirote craftsman Nikolaos Soulis, with financing from the Baltic politician Nikolaos Stratos[3].

Name - Administrative
The old name of the village is Proviana and this is how it is mentioned in 1908 in the Government Gazette 28A - 08/02/1908 to be annexed to the then municipality of Idomeni. In 1940 it is corrected to Vrouviana. It is officially mentioned for the first time in 1908 to belong to the then community of Chalkiopoulos[12]. According to the Kallikrates plan, together with Avlaki, they form the Local Community of Vrouvianos, which belongs to the Municipal Unit of Inachos, Municipality of Amfilochia, and according to the 2011 census, has a population of 221 inhabitants[13].
