Some things on my TBR:
The Lost Metal
The Stardust Thief
The Book Eaters
A Deadly Education
Way of the Argosi
Most people might have read them already though haha.

Oh The Lost Metal and The Book Eaters are also on my TBR.

Oh I have A Deadly Education on hold at the library. I already had to defer the hold twice because other books get in the way but this would be motivation to read it sooner than later.

So many options! Guardian angels, wolves, dragons, orcs, vampires...

I agree with Siobhan. Surely can't stop at one. A few at least!
Leads to alot of Paranormal Romance, just looking at the covers/titles :D
I think Mel just like's recommending smut to her competitors :D
Horns of Hammerad was given this recommendation:

You get smut! And YOU! get smut!
*cracks knuckles*
You know, the Tome Raiders thread must be feeling lonely. My very first team after all. Wouldn't want them to feel left out...

Sounds like a fun challenge! If anyone has a fancy for a Guardian book I'm up for giving it a go! XD
If we're reading ANY smut, it's gonna be Nuts About You & Rise of the Alpha Squirrel
Right, Siobhan? ;)

I don't mind smut. I'll read your smut recommendations any day.
Tomb Raiders was also my first team. Ah nostalgia lol

All of the good smut books are in the Guardian section, huh? Makes sense. lol. Now I'm really curious what you referred for all of the teams Mel XD

I dunno... Tome Raiders has Zombie Apocalypse Vampire Raiders of Las Vegas
Sounds like the NTSF:SD:SUV:: of book titles
NTSF:SD:SUV:: = National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sport Utility Vehicle::

OMG Iain these books again...
No, if we're reading anything, it's gonna be The Princess & the Penis. I think Soo shared it in the Naughty Book Club or Feel Good Book Club a couple years back.

Hahaha, please don't take these as my recommendations - my personal integrity is on the line! I mean, I read a lot of smut, but even I don't have that many smutty raiders sitting on my shelves.
I listed a bunch of my romance TBRs in the Silver Swords thread, but if you want actual recs... I mean, pick your poison. I just finished Freya Marske's A Marvellous Light and A Restless Truth and I'm absolutely itching out of my skin until November to get my hands on more magical murder-mystery historical romance. KJ Charles also does those (my hands-down favorite romance author) although I actually prefer the straight historicals to the fantasy ones. (Haha, okay sorry, they're not all straight though. Very very queer.)
*thinks back* What was the last straight romance I read...?
Ah. T. Kingfisher. I refuse to call any of hers smut, but not fade-to-black either, and simply delightful. I laughed like crazy over the hijinks in Paladin's Strength, with the plot consistently getting in the way of the characters. That is a trope I could eat several extra helpings of.

Like I mentioned in the Tome Raiders thread, it is not-at-all-surprisingly easy to find. Literally just searched for "raiders" and started collecting shirtless men. So please read with caution! XD

I'm not on your team, but there's no letdown... reading ebbs and flows... everyone understands life happens, burnouts happen... health (physical and mental), is more important than competition points...
And you/we already read alot more than most, even when we ease off a bit...
The competition is to be fun, and not stressful :D

[Edit: Yes, Iain, you're right, I meant Silver Medal Syndrome. I was very tired when I wrote that, but you figured out what I meant. ^_^;]
I googled that, and apparently, you mean Silver Medal syndrome... Silver Medalists can envision what it takes to win Gold (nail the langind better, etc), Bronze medalists are just happy to have a medal at all, because they can envision how close they came to not hitting top 3 :D

I love you all! ❤️

Oh Choko, wishing you good vibes. You are amazing and strong! <3 I’m sorry to hear your going through so much right now.

Choko, you could never let us down! Like others have said, the competition is just for fun, and no one blames anyone for not reading. Health always comes first and I wish you all the best for your treatments. You are so strong and I send you all my love! ❤️
