If Jasper Fforde met Lemony Snicket, they got very drunk, and wrote a book, if Jasper was a bit of a grouch and didn't let Lemony reach the typewriter very often. Cute, funny, entertaining, just a touch of Real Human Emotions; would that I were a child who could read this first and later enjoy the much richer The Big Over Easy. In this timeline I went to the library with it half finished in my bag and decided to return it.
