Ok. If you're going to write a book for teens that talks about an upsetting thing, and you're going to talk about how upsetting it is and how the upset can get in the way of dealing with the thing...less antagonizing words! Don't say lazy. DON'T say LAZY! Especially when, in the explicatory paragraph underneath lazy, it becomes clear that what you mean is "unmotivated"--a very different thing. How many times do teens get told they're lazy when they know they're not? Lots. Don't do that....more

And yet they don't seem to get tired of her, because her constant grooming makes her pretty I suppose. Probably why she keeps hairspray in her purse that she keeps grabbing instead of her protective equipment.
