I like the progression of the plot and how Amy and Dan's goodness is trying to rub off on the bad guys.
I like the mystery and I'm a little anxious to know where they will go next. What clues will they find, in what city and will Ian kiss Amy??!!??...more

I wish we could give half or quarter stars because really I give Wildwood 3.75 stars because it very, very, very descriptive, so much so that I think I wish we could give half or quarter stars because really I give Wildwood 3.75 stars because it very, very, very descriptive, so much so that I think it was bogged down with it. I mean it was writen well and I like it when authors get into details but I mean there were times when I skiped whole paragraghs (and I never do that except when the text is going over something I've already read) in this book and I didn't miss anything. I don't need to know every color of green there was in the forest. It does paint a pretty picture in my mind and I think it would a good movie (if they were to go in that direction) but there was just too much for me.
Wildwood reminded me of C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia, with two kids on an adventure, talking animals, and an evil queen...no mythical creatures though. I liked it ok, the plot was good and I will prob read the sequel when it comes out cause I have a feeling the evil queen will be back and I don't exactly know how they will take care of her then. The only other problem I had with the story was with Curtis' character, morality of his actions, for a child his age bothered me a little (it's not inappropriate or anything like that, my 11 yr old daughter read it before me), it's just I had a hard time accepting his actions as being ok in the end and he showed little remorse or gulit. But other than that it was a good book especially for kids who like to read adventure stories....more

This story was heartfelt and profound also I just love love love Oliver's stories. After reading the author's note I found out that Oliver was grieving over the death of a friend and that her world had turned gray and gloomy and she had an idea for a book and this is what came of that idea, she said that this story reflected her journey of dealing with the loss of her friend and I for one am glad that she shared that with us, I love her writing but this book is so sincere and ture and is one of my favorite books....more

The only problem I have with the story is the ending, it left me hanging. I like endings that are clear and no lose ends, no questions. It was a really good story and the pictures were awesome, it was a little sad but not too much, it's one of my favorites....more
