Chloe just turned 18 and got the best birthday present ever from her dad and her step mom. She has a hard time at leaving her past and especially her two former best friends in the past to start a new chapter at the art school. That's why she's planning a low-key wild road trip. Of course not just to reconcile with her friends but also to see their favorite boy band live.
I had a good time reading this book. It gave me a cozy summer vibe. I think it would be perfect to actually read it in the summer and maybe even on a road trip. The combination of the road trip and finding back to each other but also growing up at the same time was really fun to read. The story felt real and even though some things didn't go according to plan, they tried to communicate and find a new solution together.
Some moments were a bit silly but overall it was an entertaining story. I don't really have anything bad to say about this book.
This book is perfect for fans of Becky Albertalli and road trip fans.

Birdie and Cass know each other since their childhood but their lives couldn't be more different. Birdies mom is an influencer and never had to worry about money. Cass is the complete opposite. She's working hard, not only for her dreams but also to be able to pay for her future. She doesn't understand Birdie and thinks that she is spoiled. And maybe she is right with that, but Birdie has so much more in her life and tries to prove that not just to Cass or her dads but also to herself.
The story started interesting and I really liked the writing style right from the beginning. It was nice to follow and I couldn't put the book down. The story was from time to time kind of predictable but it was still fun to read. Sadly this wasn't the book for me. It felt a bit rushed. To me, it felt like some things were missing.
It was a sweet story, perfect for the summer. And even if it wasn't the book for me, I will still recommend it to fans of sweet enemies to lovers stories and people who just want a sweet story for the warmer days.

I'm a big fan of queer YA books, but I know nothing at all about football and I honestly still don't really care about it, but it was fascinating to learn more about it. Before I started this book, I already looked at some other reviews to know what I'm getting myself into and almost everyone said that it will be a lot of football. And they certainly didn't lie. At some time I was a bit confused because I didn't understand the different terms, but it was still fun to learn more. I picked this book up because of all the people who said that this book is despite its topics a really good book. They also didn't lie about this.
Grace is a high school senior who recently came out as trans. Being trans on its own can be hard enough but being a former footballer makes it from time to time even more difficult.
The book is written in a special way. Most of the story is written in Graces current pov but there are also some chapters that are about Graces past and are written in the second-person narrator. The writing style was different from most books I read before but I really did like it. At some times I wondered if teens these days really talk like that. Some moments felt a bit cringe but maybe I'm too old to understand teen slang.
Grace is a strong main character. She knows who she is but she's still struggling from time to time and has a hard time talking to other people about her feelings, which I totally understand!
Overall it was a really good book. You can really feel how the author is connected to football and that she has a great passion in it.

I really liked the beginning of the book and how all the different issues developed. I Only read one other book by Sonora Reyes before and hoped that I would like this more than the other one. And it really looked like that in the first 50-60%. At one point the story lost me and I also couldn't feel any chemistry between Kenny and Han. The most believable thing about their friendship was that they know each other for so long. I sadly also didn't really like any of the main characters that much.
The story had a lot of miscommunication/no communication at all. In the beginning it was okay but I got annoyed the more often they didn't talk to each other.
Overall I don't think that this book was for me. I liked the topic and it was interesting to learn more about the different struggles.

I had a really good time reading it and would love if this would be turned into a book series. All the side characters have so much potential and I would love to learn more about them, even about Evie!
Bobby loves books and love. He wishes for a book worthy declaration of love and has the perfect plan for it but the real life is sadly not like it is in the book and nothing goes according to plan. It takes a lot of coincidences and time to show Bobby what he really wants and needs.
In the beginning I was a bit sceptic if I would like Bobby because he was a bit annoying and he actually never stopped being annoying (in my opinion) but that was what made me love him so much. He just wanted the best for everyone and tried to help, even if the others didn't really want it. The insecurities about his body felt real, and I could relate with him. He really only deserves the best.
The writing was fast-paced and nice to follow.
I would have liked it more if Lukes sexuality had been explored/explained a bit more. It was mentioned briefly, but it could have been a bit more in depth.
This was overall a really lovely book and I had a lot of fun while reading it. Some moments made me roll my eyes, while other moments made me laugh out loud. It was the perfect mix for me.

The drawing style was nice and the story was in black and white and greyish colours. I would have enjoyed it even more if it had a few colourful highlights.
Normally I’m not a fan of miscommunication but I didn’t hate it in this story. I think it’s probably because it was a Graphic Novel.
The story was easy to follow and the pages weren’t overflowing with drawings. It was overall fun to read.
I didn’t really feel a chemistry between Tessa and Olivia but I liked the rest of the story and could connect with Tessa in some moments.
I’m a bit sad because I really wanted to love this book. I fell in love with the cover when I first saw it and the description sounded like something I’m a bit sad because I really wanted to love this book. I fell in love with the cover when I first saw it and the description sounded like something I would like.
The book started with trigger warnings and spoiler warnings which is always good to have, especially when it comes to sensitive topics like the book deals with.
The story felt really fast paced and a lot of things happened in a very short time period and the story had a lot of side characters which I sometimes got mixed up. It was just a lot of people for such a short book. Some characters felt like there a single one but were two completely different characters with the same character traits. It also felt in a lot of moments that something is missing and that the story was rushed.
Sadly I also didn’t really like the writing. The story was really descriptive and it felt like half of the book was just the characters talking with each other and really long descriptions of random outfits or interests. The book also had random smileys through the story which took me out of the reading flow.
I don’t have any experience on being trans and can’t comment on if the representation is good or not. It felt realistic to me. On some aspects felt the story too forced. Sophia had to mention every other time she was talking about her friends that x is a “lesbian but is acting straight” and that y is “straight but acts lesbian” or in general that someone is straight or lesbian etc while it was already mentioned ten pages before.
I understand why the book ended the way it ended but it was also a bit annoying. I still want to read the next book in the series and see where the story is going. I would have loved to enjoy the story more than I did. ...more

When I started the audiobook, I didn't think that it would be so much about wine. It felt like 90% wine and 10% romance and drama and everything else. A lot of times I kind of lost the plot of what's going on when they kept talking about all the different kinds of wine and how they were made. I'm sure that everyone who loves wine and likes to learn new things will love this book!
The characters were (most of the time) strong-willed and knew what they want. They still weren't able to really communicate with each other for most of the book. There were moments where I just wanted to shake them and tell them to talk to each other. Zoe was a good main character. She had her flaws and even in the end she wasn't the perfect character but was able to admit her flaws.
Overall it was a fun book with some very spicy scenes! It was way spicier than I thought it would be. The story gave me a queer Emily Henry vibe!

It took me over a year to finally read more than the first chapter, and I'm glad that I kept reading.
The first chapter felt too slow paced, and I couldn't really get into the story or connect with Wren. But it really didn't take long until I was captivated in the story and started loving Wren with all his flaws. He's far from perfect and from time to time a bit annoying and acts egoistic but that somehow made him even more relatable for me.
Wren is student council president and wants to fix the Rapture High. His plan is to get rid of the beloved Valentine's Day dance which is not only draining the school's resources but also a social nightmare (obviously not just for him). The Vice president Leo is the perfect student who tries to come up with solutions for all of Wrens problems. The well known App Buddy should sponsor the ball. Buddy is an App where students can find friends anonymously. There is nothing that Wren hates more than the Buddy App (except for school dances and sometimes Leo). But than one day he decided to install the App and everything changes.
Some aspects of the story were predictable, and I rolled my eyes from time to time about Wren, but it was still a cute story. It gave me everything I needed for this story. I haven't read any other book of Amanda DeWitt so far but definitely want to pick of her other work. Especially because her other books also have asexual main characters.
I liked that the story was chaotic and still had a red string going through it, that you didn't feel lost in between the pages. The story was besides the different representations really diverse on the topics and dealt with a lot of different things that happen to a regular teenager in their late teen years.
The book didn't only have a really good asexual representation, but also some about grief and questioning aromantics.
This book is perfect for fans of Becky Albertalli and Alice Oseman. It's a fun and sometimes sweet story about friendship and love.

It was interesting to follow OllieI wanted to read the book since the first time I saw it and was really happy when I finally had the chance to do so.
It was interesting to follow Ollie around learning more about gender and how many options are out there. This book is a middle grade and I think it did an amazing job in showing the struggles the children and teens have growing up. This book should be a required read in school because I think it could help a lot of people to understand more about struggles when it comes to gender identity and that there aren't just "Boys" and "girls". I would also recommend this book not only to middle grade readers. It's a great book for everyone who struggled themselves with their gender identity or wants to see more perspectives and widen the own horizon when it comes to identity, especially if you are a teacher or a parent.
This book is not only about finding yourself but also about finding your real friends and a place where you belong.
I loved listening to the audiobook because it felt a lot of times like Ollie was telling me the story right away and that I had a glimpse in Ollies diary.
