i can’t believe how fast i flew this series, they were just so entertaining. this final book was my least favorite though, i felt like it was both tooi can’t believe how fast i flew this series, they were just so entertaining. this final book was my least favorite though, i felt like it was both too long and somehow rushed at the same time. i was living for all the different relationship developments between the guys outside of their romance with Skyla though. the witch side of the plot was so random, but i won’t act like it wasn’t hinted at throughout the series. Liam and Asher are my favorites out of the guys and i did like the sex scenes but there was also too many of them.. i started to get bored after a while. it wrapped up in a nice bow which i wasn’t expecting for some reason. i loved the audiobooks cause the narrators all did an amazing job! ...more

after the ending of book one, i came running to start this one and it didn’t disappoint. everyone is mad at Asher, which is deserved and they make him feel the animosity for sure.. Skyla and the other 3 men are pretty rock solid in their relationship dynamics, so it was a lot of them spending time together and plenty of steamy scenes. i’ll never get over how Skyla threw herself into the crossfire for Asher and how devastated he was in that moment, i honestly couldn’t even be mad at her for forgiving him and wanting him back with her after that.

the thing i was not expecting was for Asher and Liam to start seeing each other differently but I’m NOT complaining. i actually felt bad for Asher, he’s clearly struggling with the idea of him not being straight like he always thought he was.. Skyla and Liam were both so patient and kind to him throughout. Skyla’s stalker takes things to a new level, it was stressing me out watching them try to figure out who’s been sending Skyla all these weird messages. Vincent’s whole ordeal where he went on a rampage looking for Skyla just shows how unhinged and down bad he is. there’s also a new love interest, Wesley, who’s a friend of Ronan and is assigned as her new driver. i didn’t think there would be anyone else, but the more the merrier. I’m flying through this series and am thoroughly entertained though....more

all the parallels are unmatched in the cosmere world. Kelsier will always remain one of my favorite characters. im always weary of getting stories from characters who have died, but i really loved getting more of Kelsier in this novella. some scenes actually made me so sad, especially towards the end when he’s reunited with Vin. i appreciated the clarity on the fact that Kelsier truly was guiding Spook from the other side. i just love the mistborn series so much, the way Sanderson has went about “bringing Kelsier back” felt very well thought out....more
