There’s nothing more sensual than seduction…until the wrong man shows up! Don’t miss this reader favorite from New York Times bestselling author Brenda Jackson.
Two years ago, geologist Corinthians Avery had brazenly sneaked into a hotel room to seduce Dex Madaris, head of Madaris Explorations and the longtime object of her affection. But the man who emerged from the shower to find Corinthians clad in next to nothing was handsome foreman Trevor Grant. When a smug Trevor informed her that Dex was not only absent from the trip, but at home happily married, Corinthians was mortified.
Now, stuck in South America on a business trip with Trevor, Corinthians tries to avoid him at all costs. If only his broad shoulders and wickedly sexy smile didn’t send her senses into flames. But when their hotel falls under terrorist attack, Corinthians has no choice but to place her trust in Trevor. As the two make a daring escape, fear for their lives suddenly turns to feverish desire, as they both give in to the hottest danger of all. What neither of them realizes is that one sultry night of passion will change their lives forever….

I love their story it was worth the wait and read.. I only discover Brenda Jackson a year and a half a go and 96% of her books always leave me wanting more such talent.. The characters were interesting and the build up to them wanting each other was good. MUST HAVE....
Two years ago, geologist Corinthians Avery had been dead set on seducing Dex Madaris. She wanted the man in ways unspeakable. She'd been lusting him for quite some time and working for him was a major benefit.
The night she sneaked into his hotel room was destined to be unforgettable.
When another man other than Dex emerged from the shower, Corinthians was stunned and in next to nothing, ready to present her love. When she learned from Trevor Grant that Dex was not there but happily married, her heart was shattered.
Trevor and Corinthians wind up on a business trip in South America, they grate each other's nerves. She finds it a challenge to keep him from affecting her; he's mad for her, but too proud to allow his feelings to surface.
In Fire and Desire, Brenda Jackson does an amazing job with taking the reader abroad internally and emotionally with the characters. The reading is smooth, fine details are embedded throughout the entire story with a twist that is certain to have you hooked on her literary style.
Please note that this novel is part of The Madaris Family Novels, of which there are several.
This is one of my top five favorites by Jackson. I've read this several times. I just can't get enough of Trevor and Corinthians. They had enough drama to keep you reading. Then add in all the other characters and I found myself tracking down their stories. Especially Ashton and Sir Drake.
I need visuals of Corinthians Avery because she had so many men attempting to kidnap her, I need to know what she looks like! lol The only one she wanted was Trevor and he acted like he was scared to communicate. Now this was a heavy miscommunication trope (which I normally hate) but with all the action and suspense I was locked in. For this book to be written when I graduated high school it has aged well.
This was a action packed, drama filled that took us on a journey through South America with a super strong and super sexy alpha male "Trevor Grant". I love me some Trevor!!! The relationship between him and Corinthian Avery started off shaky. But it was love at first sight but neither wanted to admit it. So it become a love hate relationship. But when Corinthians was in trouble it was Trevor to the rescue, his military background prepared him to protect the woman he loved. I also love the prim and proper Corinthians, almost 30 and still maintaining her virginity. But the passion between the two of them could burn that jungle down. I also love how Brenda Jackson includes the other character, showing a strong brotherhood and sisterhood. Another one of her books I may have to reread soon. I'm hooked now I tried hard not to start on the Madaris Family and Friends. It's too late for me.
2 years ago Corinthians Avery walked into the wrong room but it ended up being the correct one. now she is stuck in South America with Trevor as they work out business deals. Things go wrong with people are on the search for her and Trevor must take her in escape from their hotel to remain alive in the jungle. during this one week time the chase and fight with the guys that want them while with each other. with tensions running high and the heat between them even higher Corinthians and Trevor also hunt and discover the love that is between them well keeping themselves and the love alive. even when they make it out of the jungle they still have to discover who wants Corinthians and why they want her so bad. But surviving the forest isn't the worst part, they then have to find out who kidnapped Corinthians and where she's being hid.
Very interesting. I really enjoyed Fire and Desire way more than others by Jackson and other popular romance novelists. Fire and Desire is one of those problematic romance novels for me because when I read one that's really really good, the one to follow must be equally as great - which is almost always impossible :)
I definitely recommend Fire and Desire, it has an interesting storyline, intriguing characters, danger, adventure, surprises - everything you need in a good romance novel.
oh my god i love this book so much everytime i got to barnes and noble i re-read over and over again, very well written interested, i mainly love the main characters corinthians because i can really relate to her and trevor is just so manly and sexy, everything u want in a man, i love than him and corinthians argue so much that it reminds me of when ur little and u argue with the boy or girl u like
This is one of my favorites. Cornithians had her heart set on one man and she had planned to boldly set her trap to be embarrassed by his wing man Trevor. Then stuck in the jungle they learn to survive and fall in love together. I love Brenda Jackson's books and the Madaris Family is an wonderful family to be hooked on.
This is another awesome story in the Madaris Family series! I was so touched when Trevor and Corinthians finally admitted their love for one another. This is a must read because it captures the reader's attention from start to finish! Brenda Jackson has done it yet again in writing a wonderful and breathtaking love story!
Love, love, love... It's very true the Madaris stories keep getting better and better. Trevor has to be one of the best male specimen. Not only is he successful but he also a hero and a true gentleman. Corinthians and Trevor complement each other so well. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to read this great story. Next up Jake and Diamond!
What a delicious story! Sexy, mysterious and Hot! Trevor Grant sure knows how to take care of his woman! it's a good thing too, because I lost count of how many people wanted to kidnap Corinthians for their own selfish reasons. Lots of surprises in this well-written story! Loved it!
Read this story again because on Brenda Jackson facebook page she puts out a list of books that came out in the current month. Read this in January of this year and still had no problem reading it again in August. Loved it!
I liked this enemies to lovers story about Trevor and Corinthians and their feisty and stubborn characters made the falling for each other parts hilarious. The South America location was also an added bonus and added a different setting and pace to the series.
CAUGHT UP in the romance and adventure throughout Trevor and Corinthian's journey from a SURPRISING and hostile beginning to a SIZZLING and passionate ending.
As always I was in love with the whole book. Hanging on the edge until they finally understood they were both in love with each other and then again when Trevor rescued her from Yasir. It took me a minute to figure he was the mastermind behind it all. Joshua was a headache and so glad we saw him get cut to size in the interaction with Sir Drake and them. Life comes unexpectedly, so be open.
WOW! Escaping would-be kidnappers in the jungle, hot sex in a romantic cave, an unexpected pregnancy--all the ingredients for steamy, passionate, unforgettable scenes. Romance lovers MUST read this book, but remember to have your fan nearby when Ms. Jackson describes the love scenes: hubba, hubba, boom!
Passionate read with a great twisting tale that kept me on the edge of my seat! I'm looking forward to the next book in the series with anticipation that I am sure will be met with another great story!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The suspense the Lovejoy the love-hate relationship all of those things spoke to my heart so far Trevor is my favorite character decks Clayton and Justin are great but Trevor is the greatest!
All I have to say is, I enjoy reading about the Madiris family and their friends. I love how Ms. Jackson keeps you abreast of what's happening with the previous characters.
