The Dynasty is sending troops. Potentia is plentiful. Everything is up for grabs.

Luke has found a great way to move directly from combat to combat. While his team is working hard to increase their knowledge, train their skills, and grow a paradise, the Murderhobo steps into a Descender portal for five minutes, pops out, jumping straight into Murder World—fists leading the way. Life is good.

After years of work Andre the Druid makes a grievous error: he completes his job perfectly. By healing the Scarroco Desert, the supermassive Dynasty that neighbors the Hollow Kingdom suddenly has renewed interest in their resources. No longer content to leave The Four in exile, the King recalls them to the Palace. Before their new orders are given, the Dynasty steals something precious from the King. Going after it is a fool's errand.

That works perfectly for the King: he knows exactly four disposable Ascenders. Being promised freedom, luxuries, and cushy jobs if they are successful—and death upon failure—Luke’s team leaves immediately. As they begin their adventure through the front lines of the invasion, Luke the Murderhobo knows it’s his moment to shine. Monsters, Ascenders, and Assassins are the least of their worries.

All he needs to do is survive Everything.

I am pretty sure this is an ending to the series... but honestly it kindof felt rushed and left quite a few questions unanswered (and left on a pseudo-cliff).

It's not a horrible ending mind you... but I think its a bit annoying that it doesn't really feel satisfying at all xD

I really enjoyed book one. It was novel and interesting, Book 2 was kind of okay, but book 3 is just very poorly written. Take Luke aka Murderhobo, the author couldn't decide on his character, whether he was quiet but very intelligent, dumb and rather thick, underdeveloped childish or mature silent type, and flitted through these multiple personas multiple times in any given chapter. No consistency. At one point, he's struggling to find coherent words, whilst his internal dialogue is a Sesquipedalian speech. (Yeah that's the use of big fancy words that others have to look up in a deliberate attempt to appear smart.)
And here in book three, the author manages to make murderworld boring. It was amazing in book 1, still kinda awesome if you ignore the my little pony rip /off micky take that went on for far too long, in book 2, and made it extremely boring and stagnant here. Now anyone of the four can go to murderworld, it's not special, the creatures easily beatable by the rest, just not Luke without their input.
There is nothing special about this book. Other than the fight scene with the emporeor its just underwhelming. It jumps and omits hugh bits to hurry the story along. In fact that's the overwhelming feeling of this book, that it is rushed with very little care. At one point murderhobo is level 15 with 3000 odd potentia until level 14! Another is Andre talking about his druid powers but referred to as Zed. Bad editing as well. Crowbarring the books title "Everything" as much as possible was cringe worthy. Instead of writing "anything" it got changed to "everything". Its repeated poor usage, where it didn't really fit, made a lot of sentences awkward, forced, and unbalanced just to get that word in.
The ending is underwhelming, and Zeds ascension just seems daft, and doesn't feel like it fits. This was a poor ending, to a poorly written book that felt as though the author just rushed it to get it ended so he could get back to his preferred works. Worse, the author has no excuse as all his other works show he's a talented writer, gifted, ingenious, and inspired. He can write interesting and consistent characters with healthy progression and growth. He just didn't bother here.

I loved everything about this book. It makes me want a 4th book or a 2nd series. Luke is so well written and I love his arc. Happy that I got to pre order this one! The audio books are really well narrated too!

Soooo no? This ending did not feel natural at all. We never got to know what’s the deal with murder world?
Please end this for real. Book 4 now.

These are the only books I still read

This was a wild ride. I do love Luke(the Murderhobo), he makes me laugh. I was so happy to see that this book was finally out. I don’t “read” many books anymore. I listen almost exclusively to audiobooks and podcasts. I can listen to them at 2x+ speeds and get through them in a fraction of the time. Books just seem too slow now. I wish this book was longer. I hope there is a 4th coming someday. It was totally worth the wait, and It didn’t feel slow to me at all! This in itself is a testament to the skill of Dakota Krout as a writer.

What a roller coaster of a book!  I was excited to see more of The Four…had some reservations about where we left off but I felt like it hit the ground running well.  Their attempt at learning teamwork didn't land…the story really is more about Luke and his character growth…

The last hour was nuts! Escalation upon escalation! I hope there are more books within this world and these guys show up or get their own stand alone titles

I keep forgetting to mention how much I love the bloopers at the end of the audiobooks! I wish more, if not every, audiobooks included a few bits of the narrator messing up.

ahhhhhhhhhhhh

Ok, I have been impatiently waiting on this book for what feels like years and I can say the only disappointment is that it’s over.
No way are we done wirh Luke, Taylor, Zed and Andre. What happened to Cindy? I mean there is so much more story to tell, and I cannot wait to see what other adventures these guys get into.
I can only hope Dakota chooses to expand on this universe.

As never-ending series have become far more of the norm, I have grown to appreciate a nice trilogy that ends well.

I mean, technically, there's space for a foll0w-on series, but it isn't needed and I don't think it's expected.

I appreciate the Luke of the end, and wish we could have had a bit more of his perspective. Given that everything is being narrated by Zed though, who wouldn't have had a chance to speak with him about what had happened then, it fits within the story that we don't learn.

Everything is the third book in the Full Murderhobo series, and it is just as funny, action-packed, and irreverent as the previous two books. The story follows the exploits of Zorian Kazinski, a murderhobo who is transported to a fantasy world where he must use his skills to survive and find a way home.

In this book, Zorian faces even more challenges than before. He must battle powerful enemies, solve complex puzzles, and navigate a treacherous political landscape. But through it all, he never loses his sense of humor or his determination to succeed.

One of the things that makes Everything so enjoyable is Krout's writing style. He has a knack for creating memorable characters and dialogue, and he does a great job of balancing humor with suspense. The story is also full of twists and turns, which keeps the reader guessing until the very end.

If you're a fan of fantasy, humor, or just a good story, then I highly recommend Everything. It's a wild ride that you won't soon forget.

Here are some additional thoughts on the book:

The characters are well-developed and relatable. Zorian is a complex protagonist who is both funny and likable. The supporting cast is also great, and I especially enjoyed the interactions between Zorian and his friends.
The plot is fast-paced and exciting. There is never a dull moment, and the story is full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the end.
The humor is sharp and witty. Krout has a great sense of humor, and he uses it to great effect in this book. There are many laugh-out-loud moments, and the humor never feels forced.
The world-building is detailed and immersive. Krout does a great job of creating a believable fantasy world that feels real and lived-in.

Overall, Everything is a fantastic book that I highly recommend. It's a funny, action-packed, and heartwarming story that will stay with you long after you finish reading it.

Not quite satisfying.

I mean that in the most moderate sense possible. The world building was fantastic and the characters became compelling enough that I found myself caring about them again. The plot came full circle and really seemed to fit everything together.

Ultimately the story feels like "well this thing happened. Moving on..." As best as I can tell it's because the story's moral/theme lacked depth or profundity.

I'm not enthused to read the author's other works or recommend this one. Hence my reluctance to give it more than a 3. I hope their numbers do well and that the author has a chance to improve and thrive. I DO think many others could enjoy this work. I also hope for a day that I realize how I can treasure it more. For now, I struggled to appreciate the time I sank into it.

PS- Maybe if I got to actually experience their success and/or felt a deeper connection amongst the group.
I found myself regretting that, page for page, the character were in chains and constrained far more than they were free or enjoying themselves. I don't fully know what it lacked for me.

I wish the author the best though.

Rushed and unfinished

I love the character development of the 4 and I especially love murderworld and all the humor throughout. But this story doesn't feel finished to me, it feels dropped. Which is a shame because it's my personal favorite litrpg series.

The ending comes too fast as the rate of time accelerates towards the end. The general continuity and pace of the story changed for me unsettlingly as the focus shifted towards introducing a million new things in the DoD and then very rapidly invalidating them with ascension. Then the story ends abruptly with obscure references to a character-- that was never developed-- whose seeming purpose was to foreshadow things but they don't get explained.

It felt to me like the ending was actually an Easter egg and the real ending just isn't there.

Great series, strange ending

I really loved the story telling and the world building in this novel. The characters were a lot of fun too, the good guys, the bad guys, the side kicks, the random not so important people, they were all fairly well fleshed out with good motivations.

The e ding threw me though, I have to agree with Vir, after going through all that, we just mutter most if the planet? Unless there is some mitigating circumstance (that is hinted at due to the way people reacted after the Sirocco desert incident, or how it was mentioned that regular people are getting stronger) this is just weird.

And the logic that a bard ascending make the planet ascend... where does the power come from? It doesn't follow logic, higher planes have more mana, this planet was in a dearth of mana, how could it suddenly have enough mana to bring the whole planet to a higher plane...?

Oh well, I'll just let it be, it's a fun read.

Unexpected

Overall the book was well written ABC's enjoyable. It honestly felt like it was dragging on for a bit and I had to take a break to read something else. Then at the very end a time skip is used to hand waive all character growth literally off page, just before the conclusion. At which point we're given the ending about characters who we barely recognize, and in one case, get minimal justification for the actions of the titular charact that might as well be a new person. So, ironically, this slow book ended like GoT season 7: exponentially rushed.
I did still enjoy it, and the ending was cleverly done. If you've read the first two it's well worth your time to finish.

ok but…{SPOILERS}

That ending sucked, what happened to the solid mana from when they were fighting at the border, what was the mystery at level 50 in murder world? Why did this story transition so much to zed? I feel like too many storylines were abandoned and the story we wanted to hear about the FULL MURDERHOBO was not told to completion or even enough. Aside even from that does Andre get a fifth circle? What about Taylor and the limits of her naming power? Wasn’t the whole world gradually getting filled with mana before from the ley line restoration, what happened with that? Overall well written and cheeky; but also disappointing and confusing.

Everything

The Four were assigned an impossible task, to heal the desert. It’s almost done too. The question is what will happen next? This will end their exile and bring them back under the direct attention and control of the king. If he can catch them anyway!

It’s sad to see this trilogy come to an end. I delayed reading the last book, but it was well worth the wait. It certainly had its punny moments thrown in there to liven it up too! As always, Dakota delivers. Christian Gilliland does a great job with the narration. Make sure you stick around for the bloopers at the end.

The book is ok, but not great. Mostly more of the same.

You can tell the author reached the practical limits of the in-book universe, and whenever he tries to expand the story gets weird and unrelatable (e.g. a "kilometers wide throne room", "swung the club with the force of megatons", "his bones shattered to dust").

There are a few elements that are still great, but they get repetitive. Unfortunately very few parts play in the weird Murderworld, this mystery box is IMO the corner stone of the series. Another giant monster, but we don't even get to see zone 50.

I really enjoy Dakota Krout's characters, and the combination of action and comedy is just the way I like it (although I'm not as big a fan of puns as the author). World building is great and he is one of the few authors who does a decent job of combing Chinese cultivation genres with Western LitRPg.

But, same as with his Divine Dungeon series, the ending feels like a let-down. Major villains appear for half a second to get their comeuppance, everything is wrapped up in a chapter, and I'm left feeling ... huh.

Damn. What the hell was that? I thought this was a completed series, but surely that can't be the ending. So many unanswered questions. Also, the sigil slavery thing is a real bummer, and it unfortunately drives the majority of the narrative in this series. It kind of makes no sense as it is way too powerful. You would think (since they create them) that enchanters would be the most hated class (not bards), and be hunted down by all other Ascenders. If this is the conclusion (author makes it sound that way in afterword), it's a huge disappointment.

fun

This was a fun ride! They finish repairing the desert. Get kidnapped back to the king and sent off to save the future queen. Defeat an army. Almost get caught. Travel to Luke’s world and train. Get caught and get saved by Luke being sneaky. They Ascend leaving Zed behind. After years of work Zed ascends and takes the world with him.

A great conclusion to the trilogy that leaves an opening for more booked in the world. The pacing was fast and steady. The jokes spot on. And the ending satisfying. Please enjoy

Absolutely nailed it

I enjoy reading books. I am lazy and don't typically leave a word review but instead just give the books the appropriate stars. THIS BOOK DESERVES A REVIEW TELLING YOU TO READ! I have zero ZERO bad things to say. The trilogy was awesome, engaging and very hard to put down. The ending was just......*MUAHHH*. I don't know you but without giving anything away all I can say is treat yourself and read this book.

Disappointing conclusion

Feels like there should have been another 2 books or so in this series. I really enjoyed it but to leave some of the major mysteries and plot points unresolved just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The ending seemed rushed and poorly executed, there could have been so much more here but after book one the author seems to have lost steam and just wanted this series wrapped up and thrown away. Made me very sad with not enough murder world content.

Decent storyline

Overall decent storyline. Mainly falls flat as it uses slavery as the plot device. Many of the jokes reference real world memes and draws the reader out of the story. Most of the fights can be skipped just to see where the story is going. When your done, you'll notice that the issue of slavery was never dealt with and one of the greatest moral issues was just used as a plot device. Lame.

Please!! Say it's not over

I truly need more of this! Can we get a story on what happened to Luke when he went back to murder world?
How did he become so Pristine I mean balanced? Also Who or Zed's friends? What did they promise him? Where would that story go? And if there's a higher plane, where the hell is Luke If not murder world? Also I still want to know who created murder world and what's that level 50.

Good book, interesting ending to the series. Felt like I wanted a few more things either explained, or at least more information implied on.

Part of me wished the stakes would have stayed a bit lower, as the characters progression near the end felt extremely fast. I don’t feel like every book needs to have world or higher level stakes, although I can see that this was likely the planned ending from the beginning.

Great ending, ending maybe a bit forced

This was a great series, loved the Muderhobo take, the cross-character entanglement, and development. The plot twists were nice, and there were a few of them. Do kinda wish the ending wasn't quite so rushed, felt like the Dakota hit the end and literally put an 18ish month pause in the plot line then forced the book close. Still ended well and even left a crack open to revisit in another arc, who can tell?

Thanks for the great story!

I'm guessing this series just wasn't selling well and Dakota just decided to end it, but the ending feels incredibly rushed. If there is a spin-off then that would be great but it honestly feels like he just gave up towards the end here. If someone were to ask me if I would recommend this series I would say no just by how it ended If this is the end of these characters. it's a shame though because I really enjoy the series.

Quite a Pageturner

Yeh, this was an interesting story. Krout has done quite a number with this trilogy, and I think he managed to draw it to a mostly satisfactory conclusion. The character arcs of the main characters were interesting and the plot itself was intriguing to parse. Good times!

Excellent

So I’m not entirely sure that I understand what happened at the end of this book. Does this mean that book three isn’t the conclusion to the adventures of The Four?

I loved the surprises that both our Murderhobo and Zed had in store. It truly didn’t pay to let them plan and conspire.

Worth the wait

I was leary after the way his Divine Dungeon books ended, but I enjoyed this series a lot. The murderhobo, the design of the world, the lore and the story beats are all great. The one flaw is that the ending feels rushed and is a little short; felt kind of like the author was sprinting to the finish line. Would still recommend series though!
