The Quitman/Brooks County Chamber of Commerce is organized for the purpose of promoting economic development in Quitman, GA and Brooks County. Economic development is defined as industrial,
commercial, agricultural, education, civic and cultural development, as well as quality of community life.

Brooks county was established in 1858, named after Gen. John Anthony Quitman and Preston H. Brooks. Our famous courthouse square was created as a center point, and the town as designed with wide streets surrounding many parks going in four directions from the courthouse. Quitman is a beautiful city, known as the “Camellia City,” due to the abundance of color when camellias, azaleas, and other flowers are in bloom. Brooks County also includes the communities of Dixie, Barwick, Pavo, Barney, and Morven. We welcome all friends and visitors to our communities to explore our towns and all that we have to
offer.
