Ted Lasso Season 4: Jason Sudeikis hints at MAJOR twist; says Ted will coach Women’s team

According to The Independent and The Mirror, Sudeikis, who plays the main character Ted Lasso, recently shared exciting news about the upcoming season. The announcement has created quite a buzz, as many thought the series had ended in 2023 after three successful seasons.
At that time, the show seemed to have wrapped up Ted’s story nicely. But now, Sudeikis has confirmed that the story isn’t over yet. He said during the podcast that this was the “official word” and made it clear he would return to play the cheerful and kind-hearted coach once more.
According to The Mirror, Sudeikis hinted that the next season would take Ted in a new direction. Coaching a women’s soccer team will be a fresh challenge for him and will likely offer new stories for the audience. Sudeikis, who also works as an executive producer, explained the new season’s theme in a press release. He mentioned that this time, the characters would “leap before they look” and learn that wherever they end up, it’s exactly where they are supposed to be.
Reports from Deadline last year mentioned that some of the main cast members, like Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift, had signed new contracts. This had already led to speculation about a new season. Actor Nick Mohammed, who plays Nate Shelley, also added to the excitement when he shared a cryptic video on social media, hinting at changes to his tour schedule that fans believe are linked to filming the new season.
Since it first aired in 2020, Ted Lasso has won multiple awards, including 13 Emmys. Jason Sudeikis won two consecutive Emmys for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, proving just how beloved the show has become.
