Actor Mukund Kapahi, who is popularly known for the TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, will now enter Rupali Ganguly's starrer Anupamaa.
A close source confirms, "Mukund will enter as a parallel antagonist. He will be seen playing the best friend of Mohit, essayed by actor Randeep Rai. Mukund's presence will bring a new twist and turn, adding more drama to the story. Mukund will be here for some old revenge, which will be exposed later."
We tried contacting Mukund, but he remained unavailable. Mukund was last seen on TV Mann Atisundar, which aired in 2023. The actor will make his comeback after a long break. He was previously seen in an OTT series.
In a previous interview, he mentioned how he feels actors need to struggle a lot to achieve success. He reveals that acting in the field is not just about the hard work but also the luck that comes into play.
He shared, "Acting as a profession has got a lot of struggle. We actors initially have to undergo a lot of experiences and rejections. For us, luck matters; if time is in our favor, we can get a good break to prove ourselves. And if we succeed in enjoying that opportunity, soon, makers would love to work with us. All we need to do is keep attending meetings and make auditions to get good work. I'm happy that with time now even my hard work is helping me to enjoy acting offers."
He also revealed enjoying playing negative roles. "I enjoy playing grey or negative roles because such roles allow you to perform a lot and give you good screen timing. You need to act completely to make the audience hate you, and it is seriously challenging. I enjoy such challenges, but with that, as an actor, I want to do different roles. I also want to play a positive role if given that opportunity," he added.

Mukund made his debut with the TV show Kaamnaa and went on to feature in shows like Naagin 6, Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey, Nima Denzongpa, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, Mann Sundar, Shubh Laabh - Aapkey Ghar Mein, Spy Bahu, Pisachini, and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, among others.
