Kim and Khloé Kardashian hint at tension with late dad Robert Kardashian Sr.'s wife Ellen Pearson

During the dramatic season 6 finale of The Kardashians, Kim and Khloé Kardashian shared that their late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., who died in 2003 after a brief fight with esophageal cancer, was the subject of recurring dreams of theirs. While the dreams usually feel reassuring, a recent dream resonated with some long-unspoken emotions — specifically about their father's last spouse, Ellen Pearson.
Kim told Khloé that she had a dream the previous night, in which their father was alive and residing in Los Angeles — but significantly, he was "hiding from them" and living with Ellen. Khloé's spontaneous response to the name of Ellen was a frank and unvarnished "Ew," discreetly but unmistakably conveying her opinion on the subject.
Although the sisters did not explore the issue further on screen, the scene depicted an old tension between the family and Pearson, who wed Robert Sr. just before his death.
