Overwatch 2 is gearing up for the launch of Season 16 on April 22. This is going to be one of the biggest seasonal updates the game has ever seen. With tons of new skins, this hero shooter title will also feature a brand new game mode called Stadium, which is only restricted to Competitive plays.

Overwatch 2 Season 16 is around the corner. Despite being released in 2016 (rebranded in 2023), Overwatch 2 has kept hold of the momentum as one of the most played games of all time. Not just for casual plays, this Blizzard Entertainment game has also been a staple in the competitive gaming arena as well for some years now.
When every new hero shooter is dying except Marvel Rivals, this legendary title has been able to carry forward its legacy. And as a result, the 16th season is set to arrive in the game on April 22, 2025. So, when will I be able to play the upcoming season?

Season 16 in Overwatch 2 is going to introduce a lot of new features. And the Stadium mode has to be having the most share of excitement around it. Not only that, Blizzard Entertainment has paid heed to the requests of the fans as you will be able to play the 6v6 mode in the upcoming season as well. As it’s a global launch, release timings will differ across different regions. That’s why we are here as we will be exploring the launch timings in specific regions. Here are they:

Stadium will be a brand new mode in Overwatch 2. Each match in this mode will follow the best-of-seven format, which should last around 40 minutes. However, this mode is only available in Competitive plays. Along with this new mode, loads of new skins are coming as well, like magical girl cosmetics for Widowmaker, Kiriko, Freja, Brigitte, and D.Va. That’s not the end. The Season 16 Battle Pass has tons of new options for skin lovers, for example: brand new demonic rock band and royalty skins.
The Season 16 trailer also hinted us about a potential Gundam collaboration as well. So, the upcoming season is going to be a fun-fest for the fans, Fasten up your seatbelts, because an exciting ride is awaiting in Overwatch 2.
