'HIT: The Third Case' Preview: What to expect from Nani starrer as he turns relentless cop in gritty thriller

Nani starrer 'HIT: The Third Case' is all set to hit the theaters tomorrow on May 1. Directed and written by Sailesh Kolanu, the action thriller is the third installment of the 'HIT' franchise, which stars Nani in the lead role of SP Arjun Sarkaar, a tough and relentless cop.

The story follows Arjun Sarkaar, who belongs to Vishakhapatnam and is assigned to a high-priority case in Jammu and Kashmir, tasked with capturing a group of serial killers responsible for brutal murders. This case takes him far from his usual jurisdiction, plunging him into a dark and dangerous investigation that tests his limits. The story has intense action and psychological depth, with Nani portraying a cop who is far more ruthless and aggressive than in his previous roles as a boy next door. However, this won't be the first time fans are watching him in an action-packed role; his last film, 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,' was enjoyed by the audience, and fans are looking forward to the upcoming film.

Srinidhi Shetty stars opposite Nani as Mrudula, adding a strong female presence to the film. The supporting cast includes Surya Srinivas, Adil Pala, Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, and Maganti Srinath, who contribute to the film’s intense drama. Notably, Adivi Sesh, who led the second part of the series, is rumored to be making a brief appearance in the film.
'HIT: The Third Case' has received an 'A' certification for its gritty and brutal action scenes. As seen in the released teaser and trailer, Nani’s character is shown to be merciless, with scenes depicting him engaging in savage combat and relentless pursuit of justice. The trailer opens with a gripping and terrifying kidnapping of a 9-month-old girl, which sets the tone for the brutal and relentless investigation that Arjun Sarkaar undertakes. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 37 minutes.

Principal photography began in September 2024, with shooting locations spanning Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and the challenging terrains of Jammu and Kashmir. The production wrapped up by March 2025.
The film’s technical team includes cinematographer Sanu John Varghese, editor Karthika Srinivas, and music composer Mickey J. Meyer.
Post its theatrical release, it will be available for streaming on Netflix, making it accessible to a pan-India audience in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
