Halsey has officially announced the release date of her highly anticipated fifth studio album, 'The Great Impersonator'. The singer on Thursday announced that her new record drops on October 25th.
Alongside the announcement, the singer unveiled one of the album’s five covers—a self-portrait styled like a vintage newspaper clipping.

In a post on social media, Halsey shared the emotional backdrop behind the album’s creation, stating, “I made this record in the space between life and death.” The artist expressed how the project had been years in the making, adding, “It feels like I’ve waited an eternity for you to have it.”

To engage her fanbase further, Halsey launched a scavenger hunt for fans to reveal all five versions of the album covers.

In late August, she also released a trailer for the project, describing 'The Great Impersonator' as a “confessional concept album” that explores how her music might have been perceived across different decades—from the 2000s to the 1970s.

The album arrives three years after Halsey’s previous release, 'If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power'. Earlier this year, she released the track “The End,” a deeply personal song reflecting on her battle with autoimmune diseases like Lupus SLE and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Other recent singles, such as “Lucky” and “Lonely Is the Muse,” have continued to delve into her experiences with health, love, and self-worth.
With 'The Great Impersonator', Halsey promises a journey through time and self-reflection, making it one of her most introspective projects to date.
