Baba’s killing: Police seek addl probe nod

Mumbai: Mumbai police on Tuesday filed a plea for permission to conduct further probe into the murder of slain minister Baba Siddique. The plea was filed before special judge B D Shelke. Police have already filed a chargesheet against 26 arrested persons, and invoked Section 193(9) of BNSS, which enables further probe after the filing of a chargesheet, subject to a court nod. The court issued notices to all the accused, sought their responses and posted the matter for April 29. TNN
