ZHA - IKEA SYMFONISK remote gen 2 dot and double dot buttons stopped working in 2025.8.0

The problem

The IKEA SYMFONISK GEN 2 dot and double dot bottons stopped working in the 2025.8.0 release.

This was fine in prior releases including 2025.7.4. The other buttons continue to work fine in the new release.

Looking at the developer tools / events there no longer appears to be any event fired. for these buttons (other buttons still fire fine).

Regressing to 2025.7.2 resolves the issue.

My SYMFONISK firmware is 0x01000035

Could you enable debug logging for ZHA, click the buttons that don't work (and those that do), and disable it again to generate a log?

@puddly I rolled back my HA - so not easy.

@manik0u Is it something you can do?

If not I can look at upgrading again - although rolling back was a bit tricky (failed the first time).

I did capture some ZHA debug logging when I was investigating.

I would have pressed both working and non working buttons - but not 100% of the details - may just be so much it isn't helpful - have attached in case it's useful.

@pavoni Not a problem. Could you download the diagnostics JSON for the device? That should be enough.

Same issue, also have same hardware (SkyConnect). Attached a debug log where I first pressed all of the buttons that still work, then various actions (single, double, long press, etc.) on the dot buttons that does not work. Probably some other crap to sift through in the log though…

Attempting to download diagnostics for a device seems to be broken. Nothing at all happens when I click that meny alternative as one would normally do. If I right-click and choose to open link in new window I get a 401: Unauthorized.
