Canada PM Carney to visit White House on Tuesday, lays out sovereignty ‘Trump card’ after election
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to visit the White House on May 6, he stated after a call with the US President three days ago (April 29). Carney declared King Charles III will visit Canada on May 27, as a testament to Canada’s sovereignty after US President Donald Trump’s tariff threats. He also ruled out a coalition with NDP and spoke of introducing federal spending cuts as well as immigration cap of 5%, down from 7.5% of Canada’s total population.
