    Synopsis

    Cooper Flagg was the top pick, joining the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Draft 2025. Dylan Harper went to the San Antonio Spurs at No. 2, while VJ Edgecombe was picked by Philadelphia at No. 3. Kon Knueppel stayed in North Carolina, drafted by Charlotte, and Ace Bailey rounded out the top five with the Utah Jazz.

    Cooper Flagg went first overall to the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the NBA Draft 2025 on Wednesday night in New York, injecting his 6-foot-8 two-way skill set and Duke-freshman resume into a star-studded roster.

    The San Antonio Spurs followed at No. 2 by selecting Rutgers guard Dylan Harper, who averaged 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists as a freshman.

    Philadelphia then used the third pick on Baylor wing VJ Edgecombe, last season’s Big 12 Freshman of the Year after posting 15.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

    Charlotte stayed in North Carolina by drafting Duke freshman Kon Knueppel fourth - becoming the second Blue Devil in the top four - and the Utah Jazz closed out the top five with Rutgers forward Ace Bailey at No. 5.
