Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 11:21AM

Coromandel International Ltd.(up 2.00%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 1.60%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 1.12%), Aries Agro Ltd.(up 1.06%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.02%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.87%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.56%), Bohra Industries Ltd.(up 0.51%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 0.50%) and National Fertilizers Ltd.(up 0.29%) were among the top gainers.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(down 2.76%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 2.44%), Rama Phosphates Ltd.(down 2.06%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 2.05%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(down 1.14%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.91%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.69%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 0.54%) and Agro Phos India Ltd.(down 0.47%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 21.66 points up at 24401.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 37.38 points at 80678.45 at around 11:21AM.

Tata Motors Ltd.(up 4.27%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.71%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.5%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.4%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.2%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 1.09%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.05%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.03%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 0.94%) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.85%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.43%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.27%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.92%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.89%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.7%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.64%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 0.57%), ITC Ltd.(down 0.52%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.44%) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 0.43%) were trading in the red.
