English: Fremont Building, Fremont neighborhood, Seattle, Washington. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Also a city landmark under the name Fremont Hotel. It was built towards the end of 1911 by prominent Seattle attorney and Fremont State Bank president Charles E. Remsberg after the original Fremont Hotel (originally built by Remsberg in 1901 and rebuilt after a fire in 1903), was demolished for the construction of Fremont Place, whose purpose was to allow a more gradual curve for street cars heading to Ballard via Fremont Avenue N and N 36th Street. Josenhans & Allan were the architects.
