Leo Medina (b. March 29, 1964) is a former Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 12 from 2011 to 2013.
On September 4, 2014, Medina was sentenced to three years in prison for stealing a life insurance settlement from an undocumented immigrant whose daughter died. In June 2014, a jury found Medina guilty of unlawful appropriation of funds, but acquitted him of one charge of embezzlement and one charge of obtaining money of more than $1,500 under false pretenses.[1][2]
