Vice President Mike Pence's press secretary is stepping down.

Marc Lotter, Pence's primary spokesman, previously worked with Pence as campaign manager for his gubernatorial re-election campaign before jumping to spokesman for Pence's campaign as vice president.

Lotter will continue working with Pence outside the administration. He will work to push the White House agenda, particularly tax reform, and will be a surrogate for the midterm elections.

"It's been an honor to serve the president and vice president in the administration," Lotter said. "I look forward to continuing to promote the president's and vice president's accomplishments and agenda while outside the administration. "
