IMPORTANT REMINDER:

The government has previously said that it cannot guarantee visa applications lodged after 1 June 2008 will be decided in time for travel to Australia.
Applications can still be lodged and the Department will do its best to process these, however it is important that applications for visas are lodged as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Message from Bishop Anthony Fisher, Coordinator of WYD08

'G'day' my dear young friends!

It is with much joy and trust in God that we set out upon our journey to the World Youth Day in Sydney, 2008.

My name is Bishop Anthony Fisher OP, and I am the Coordinator of WYD08 in Sydney. I want to welcome you on behalf of Cardinal Pell and the Catholic Community of Sydney and Australia. I look forward to us getting to know each other.

So that we are fully prepared to set out for Sydney and help us truly enter into the reality of being pilgrims in our Christian life towards our Heavenly homeland, we give you our cyber pilgrimage - ePILGRIMAGE. Sent out monthly, it includes a message from me, catechesis on a theme delineated from the WYD theme of the year, WYD testimonies from young people, prayers, selected readings, lives of the saints, an e-visit to a place of pilgrimage and other information which will prepare and encourage you to plan for your trip to Sydney. Click here to join our mailing list.

In Christ,

Anthony Fisher OP,
Coordinator World Youth Day 2008
