Corpus Christi's Live Greyhound Racing is one of Texas' premiere activities. Racing performances are nightly at 7:30pm Thursdays thru Saturdays with matinees on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30pm. The gates open one hour before the first posted race. Full card simulcasts of Greyhounds and Thoroughbreds begin daily at 11:00 AM.

USS Lexington Museum

The USS Lexington Museum is open seven days a week except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The Museum opens at 9:00 a.m. Ticket sales close at 4:30 p.m., and the Museum closes at 5:00.
All tours are self guided and involve climbing steep stairways; so comfortable clothing and shoes with non-skid soles are recommended.

Mustang Island State Park is 3954 acres with about 5 miles of beach on the Gulf of Mexico in Nueces County, south of Port Aransas. It was acquired from private owners in 1972 and opened to the public in 1979. Activities include camping, picnicking, fishing, swimming, hiking and mountain biking on 5 miles of open beach, sunbathing, hiking, surfing, and excellent birding, especially during spring and fall migrations.
