Julia E. Sturtevant autograph album, 1881-1886
This volume contains autographs, sentimental verse, expressions of friendship, and other notes written between 1881 and 1886. The most notable signature is that of Alexander H. Stephens, February 17, 1883; it is the third signature in the book. Stephens served as Vice-President of the Confederate States under Jefferson Davis and was a prominent Georgian politician both before and after the Civil War until his death in 1883. An unidentified photograph is inserted in the book
